Bachelor of Commerce / masters in any discipline
PGD in Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Chemical Industries, Garments, Garments Accessories, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Supply Chain, Ink industries
Additional Requirements
Possess working knowledge of SAP ERP for procurement operations.
Create and manage Purchase Orders (PO) in the SAP system.
Experience in Chemical & Paint industry will be preferred.
Sound knowledge of local sourcing and procurement process.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good analytical ability for quotation comparison and cost analysis.
Knowledge of accessories, machinery, spare parts, chemicals, and factory procurement.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Procurement & Sourcing:
Collect quotations from multiple suppliers/vendors according to approved budget and requisition requirements.
Compare, summarize, and analyze quotations considering price, quality, lead time, payment terms, and supplier capability.
Present comparative statements and recommendations to management for procurement decision-making.
Source and develop new reliable and cost-effective suppliers/vendors for chemical and other materials, machinery, accessories, spare parts, and services.
Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and negotiate competitive prices and favorable terms.
Purchase Order Management:
Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and Work Orders (WO) as per approved requisition and management approval.
Handle SAP vendor creation and vendor master data management. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of procurement activities, quotations, approvals, and purchase records.
Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation, delivery schedules updates.
Delivery & Quality Assurance:
Ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods/services according to factory production and operational requirements.
Coordinate with store, production, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure supplied products/services meet required specifications and quality standards.
Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and service standards.
Handle replacement, servicing, installation, and warranty support through vendor coordination when required.
Vendor & Market Management:
Conduct market analysis to identify price trends, new suppliers, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
Maintain updated supplier database, price history, and procurement records.
Evaluate supplier performance periodically and recommend improvements or changes when necessary.
Compliance & Coordination:
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, audit requirements, and ethical business practices.
Support factory management in emergency procurement and operational requirements.
