Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in planning and organizing sewing line schedules to meet production deadlines.
∎ Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and production output in the sewing section.
∎ Monitor sewing quality standards and enforce quality control procedures.
∎ Identify any defects or inconsistencies and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
∎ Supervise and support sewing operators, providing guidance and technical assistance as needed.
∎ Assist in training new staff and upgrading the skills of existing team members to meet production standards.
∎ Identify opportunities for improving sewing processes and suggest methods to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
∎ Work on optimizing sewing techniques, machine adjustments, and operator allocation to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Ensure sewing machines and equipment are properly maintained and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
∎ Monitor machine performance and advise on necessary adjustments or replacements to maintain production quality.
∎ Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines within the sewing section.
∎ Conduct regular checks to maintain a safe working environment and report any issues to the Sewing Manager.
∎ Prepare daily reports on production targets, output, and issues encountered.
∎ Maintain records of sewing production data, quality metrics, and operator performance.
∎ Coordinate with the Cutting, Finishing, and Quality Assurance teams to align on production schedules and quality requirements.
∎ Communicate with management for sewing-related issues that could impact production timelines or quality standards.
