Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality systems, ensuring product safety and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This role supervises QA/QC operations, drives continuous improvement in food safety, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest quality benchmarks in raw materials, in-process, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling and analytical testing of raw materials, packaging, in-process, and finished goods.

  • Ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory standards (BSTI, ISO 22000, etc.).

  • Perform IPQC and final QC checks; monitor and validate CCPs and production parameters as per SOPs.

  • Implement, maintain, and improve food safety systems, including GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000.

  • Regularly update QA/QC documentation, SOPs, and protocols.

  • Investigate quality deviations; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and store departments to ensure continuous quality improvement.

  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, HACCP, BRC); ensure documentation and process readiness for third-party inspections.

  • Supervise QA/QC team members and conduct training on SOPs, hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records; generate daily/shift-wise reports and present quality data insights to management.

  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory instruments per GMP and quality standards.
