∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Telecommunication, Satellite TV
Job Context:
∎ Have the knowledge of the IPTV middleware and E2E IPTV solution
∎ Cisco or Juniper network certification
∎ Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration adaptability and initiative.
∎ Strong understanding of video technology, from head end signal processing, to TV middleware distribution platforms, to the customer endpoint device
∎ Good knowledge of IP networking, CDN technology, and video solutions that incorporate IP, UDP, TCP, multicast and web streaming (HLS or DASH)
∎ Good knowledge of distributed server applications and storage systems, including client-server, API and web services
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support team members from a technology, people and process leadership perspective in daily activities related to the planning, IPTV operations and delivery of new video technology projects
∎ Define architectural strategies to evolve current legacy head-end and TV middleware platforms towards all-IP, fully automated, cloud-based systems
∎ Closely follow technology trends and industry standards in the broadcast and TV distribution domain
∎ Negotiate vendor work agreements and manage vendor partners to ensure service assurance
∎ Provide regular coaching to team members to improve their performance and nurture their personal development
∎ Strong familiarity with cloud-based architectures, NFV and SDN
∎ Exposure to head end technology concepts including encoding, packaging, and DRM
∎ Manage the system Integration skills with external interfaces around IPTV solution, e.g ITPV OSS system, Head end system, STB and video broadcast technology
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3+ years of experience in IPTV, OTT domain is required. Experience with the Bangladesh television network is appreciated
∎ Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
∎ Previous experience in working with lean and agile scrum methodologies
∎ Strong leadership, facilitation skills and coaching skills
∎ Can work autonomously and feel empowered to take decisions without intervention
