Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Quality Control: Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures to ensure that finished garments meet the required standards. Conducting regular inspections and audits of finished garments for defects, damages, or deviations from quality standards.
∎ Supervision and Team Management: Supervising and managing the finishing department team, providing guidance on quality standards, production goals, and workflow efficiency. Conducting training sessions for team members to enhance their skills in finishing techniques and quality control.
∎ Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement in the finishing stage to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize resource utilization. Collaborating with relevant teams to implement changes that improve overall product quality.
∎ Workflow Coordination: Coordinating with other departments such as cutting, sewing, and packing to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of finishing processes. Planning and organizing the finishing schedule to meet production targets.
∎ Resource Management: Managing resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency in the finishing department. Coordinating with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of finishing materials.
∎ Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of finished garments, quality assessments, and any deviations from standards. Generating reports for management on the performance of the finishing department, including any corrective actions taken.
∎ Problem Resolution: Identifying and addressing issues that may arise during the finishing process, such as machine malfunctions, quality concerns, or delays. Collaborating with relevant departments to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
∎ Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that finishing processes comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
∎ Communication: Communicating with other managers and departments to relay information about finished goods, quality issues, and production schedules. Addressing queries and concerns from staff and management.
∎ Continuous Learning: Staying informed about new technologies, techniques, and trends in finishing processes.
