Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager for Customer Management & Credit Control oversees nationwide dealer credit, optimizes Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and ensures timely collection of accounts receivable. This role acts as a bridge between Sales, Finance, and the Dealer Network to maintain commercial relationships while safeguarding company working capital across animal feed and day-old chick (DOC) segments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Control & Portfolio Monitoring

  • Track nationwide dealer ledger accounts, credit limits, and extended payment terms.

  • Monitor key financial health metrics, primarily Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and aging analysis of accounts receivable.

  • Conduct regular credit risk assessments for existing and onboarding feed and DOC dealers.

2. Dealer Communication & Relationship Management

  • Act as the direct point of contact for dealers regarding credit accounts, balances, and payment terms.

  • Follow up systematically with dealers on upcoming due dates, matured invoices, and overdue balances.

  • Resolve payment disputes, rebate reconciliations, and billing queries directly with dealers or field sales teams.

3. Receivable Management & Collection Oversight

  • Coordinate daily/weekly collection drives to ensure cash flow targets are met.

  • Monitor sales dispatches against approved credit thresholds to prevent unauthorized deliveries to defaulting accounts.

  • Issue credit hold/release recommendations to management based on dealer payment performance.

4. Sales Coordination & Inter-Departmental Alignment

  • Partner with regional sales teams to align sales targets with realistic credit terms.

  • Provide field sales managers with real-time aging reports and collection priorities.

  • Conduct regular field visits or dealer meets when necessary to resolve high-risk receivables.

5. Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare weekly and monthly receivable reports, aging schedules, and DSO trend analyses for senior leadership.

  • Highlight high-risk accounts, non-performing dealers, and potential bad debts along with recommended mitigation plans.
