Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates with an academic background in Analytical Chemistry will be preferred.
Candidates with an academic background in Analytical Chemistry will be preferred.
Knowledge of relevant feed quality standards, laboratory safety and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Laboratory Testing.
Hands-on experience with feed/raw material quality analysis will be preferred.
Good knowledge of proximate analysis and basic feed quality parameters.
Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Moisture Analyzer/Oven, Muffle Furnace, Kjeldahl apparatus, Soxhlet apparatus, pH Meter, Analytical Balance, etc.
Knowledge of laboratory chemicals, reagents, titration, solution preparation, and standardization.
Familiarity with SOP, GLP, GMP, HACCP, ISO-based quality systems, and laboratory safety practices.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify abnormal test results and investigate potential quality issues.
Good documentation, report writing, and record-keeping skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data recording and analysis.
Ability to work under pressure and meet testing and reporting deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Conduct chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, finished feed, premixes, additives, and other feed ingredients according to approved testing procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests for parameters such as Moisture, Crude Protein, Crude Fat, Crude Fiber, Ash, Calcium, Phosphorus, Salt, and other relevant quality parameters.
Collect and prepare samples from incoming raw materials, production batches, and finished products for laboratory analysis.
Ensure accurate sample preparation, testing, calculation, documentation, and reporting of laboratory results.
Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished feed against approved specifications and quality standards.
Identify and report any out-of-specification (OOS) results and assist in investigating the root causes.
Maintain proper laboratory records, test reports, COA-related documentation, and quality control records.
Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments properly.
Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals, reagents, reference materials, and laboratory consumables.
Follow approved SOPs, GLP, GMP, safety procedures, and company quality policies.
Coordinate with Production, QA, Procurement, R&D, and Warehouse teams regarding raw material and finished product quality issues.
Support the Quality Assurance team in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in method validation, laboratory improvement, product trials, and quality-related research activities when required.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping of the laboratory.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory reports and communicate critical quality findings to the QC/QA management.
Ensure confidentiality and proper control of laboratory data and test results.
