• Practical experience in mechanical maintenance of Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) in a steel plant.

• Strong knowledge of CCM mechanical systems, including hydraulic/pneumatic components, oscillation units, withdrawal & straightening mechanisms.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&ID, and equipment manuals.

• Familiarity with modern maintenance practices (TPM, 5S, RCA, FMEA, etc.).

The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets which will meet the uprising demand in the local market and will also bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. we are seeking a competent and experienced professional for the position of Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager – CCM (Mechanical). The incumbent will be Responsible for ensuring the efficient mechanical maintenance and smooth operation of the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) in a steel plant environment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, optimizing casting performance, and supporting continuous production through effective maintenance planning and execution & report to the line head at MRSML plant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead mechanical maintenance activities for CCM equipment, including molds, dummy bars, segments, rollers, oscillators, hydraulic systems, cooling circuits, and withdrawal/straightening units.

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules to ensure maximum machine availability.

• Monitor critical mechanical parameters and inspect equipment to identify early signs of wear, misalignment, or failure.

• Maintain and manage the inventory of mechanical spares and consumables; initiate procurement requests in coordination with the stores and purchase departments.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, LOTO procedures, and PPE compliance during maintenance and operational activities.

• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for repetitive mechanical failures and implement long-term corrective actions.

• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teams during machine shutdowns and troubleshooting efforts.

• Optimize equipment performance to support quality casting and reduce billet rejections or process interruptions.

• Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to mechanical fitters and junior technicians working under CCM.

• Maintain logs, maintenance history, and generate MIS reports for performance tracking, audit, and compliance purposes.
