Bachelor`s degree in Environmental Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.

• Strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment processes, microbiology, and environmental regulations.

• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members, foster collaboration, and drive results.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks.

• Experience in conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to ensure process safety and reliability.

• Proficiency in data analysis software, process control systems, and Microsoft Office suite.

Position Overview:

• We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager to oversee our Biological Effluent Treatment Plant operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the treatment of wastewater through biological processes, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the ETP, complying with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure ETP Operations according to National, international and buyer guideline.

• Fulfill the requirements of Wastewater Module of HIGG INDEX FEM 3.0, ICS Audit, IS0 14001:2015 and buyer`s COC audit.

• Regular basis monitoring of ETP wastewater parameter testing: - COD, BOD, TSS, TDS, EC, pH, Color etc.

• Monitoring biological process by checking biological process control parameters: - MLSS, MLVSS, F:M ratio, SV30, SVI, Total Nitrate, Total Phosphate.

• Monitoring the operation of filter press.

• Monitoring sludge management and keep register for sludge disposal.

• Monitoring calibration of lab apparatus.

• Conducting & monitoring relevant awareness training.

• Research, design, evaluate, maintain ETP related equipment to meet national, international and buyer requirements within the approved budget.

• Prepare documents of monthly chemical consumption & cost report, waste ledger, sludge ledger & flow meter reading.

• Ensure EMS & ECR activities are properly managed within the desirable timeframe.

• Maintains & ensure safe chemical use and handling with PPE.

• Prepare chemical dosing ratio for functional ETP operation.

• Monitoring wastewater quality and quantity improvement such as awareness, water data provide dyeing section, microorganisms developing.

• Implementation of Zero liquid discharge (ZLD) such as reduce, reuse, recycle etc.

• Any other task assigned by management.
