Job Context:
Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries, is establishing a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery, having an annual production capacity of 1.5 million MT. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets to meet the growing demand in the local market and to contribute significantly to economic growth through exports around the globe. To achieve this goal, we are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and technically sound Assistant Engineers. The selected candidates will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of mechanical and electrical systems by following standard operating procedures and engineering practices to ensure smooth plant operation, minimum downtime, and maximum productivity.
Mechanical:
Supervise installation and alignment of rolling mill equipment by following OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and alignment tools to ensure smooth machine operation and reduce vibration.
Execute preventive maintenance of gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems through daily, weekly, and monthly inspection checklists to minimize sudden breakdowns.
Attend mechanical breakdowns during shift by identifying root causes, repairing faulty components, and coordinating with technicians to reduce production downtime.
Maintain equipment history and maintenance records by updating breakdown reports, spare usage, and repair actions to improve future maintenance planning.
Monitor critical spare parts by checking stock levels, consumption patterns, and reorder requirements to avoid delay during emergency maintenance.
Supervise technicians and contractors by assigning tasks, checking work quality, and ensuring PPE compliance to maintain safe and efficient maintenance work.
Electrical:
Supervise installation and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, MCC, PLC, VFD, motors, and control panels by following electrical drawings and safety standards to ensure reliable plant operation.
Maintain continuous power supply to rolling mill equipment by monitoring voltage, load distribution, breakers, and protection systems to prevent production interruption.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, drives, sensors, PLC systems, and control circuits by using multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and PLC software to restore equipment quickly.
Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems by following inspection schedules, testing insulation, and checking connections to reduce equipment failure.
Maintain electrical logs, breakdown history, and ISO documentation by recording faults, corrective actions, and maintenance reports to support audit compliance.
Ensure electrical safety by checking earthing, lockout-tagout procedures, cable conditions, and protection devices to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Support energy efficiency initiatives by monitoring power consumption, motor load, and drive performance to reduce operational cost.
