- Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated sense of responsibility, integrity, and organizational discipline.
Responsibilities & Context: About Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA): The Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA) is the national representative body of the seed sector in Bangladesh, acting as a bridge between private seed companies and relevant government institutions. With over 18,000 members across three membership categories, BSA is committed to promoting the sustainable growth of the seed industry through policy advocacy, institutional strengthening, and transparent governance.
Position Overview: The Assistant Director will ensure smooth and efficient delivery of member services, including new member enlistment, membership renewal, technical and academic program coordination, district committee formation and reformation, and tax & VAT-related support. The incumbent will also assist in organizing national events such as seed fairs, manage documentation, coordinate inter-departmental communication, and support the Executive Director in implementing the Association’s policies and decisions.
This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily member service operations, including office management, logistics, and staff coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and correspondence related to the Association’s members and activities.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and collaborative programs (both domestic and international), including documentation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare official reports, letters, circulars, and notices for internal and external communication.
- Manage membership databases, ensuring timely updates and effective communication with members.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of organizational policies, circulars, and office orders.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among the Executive Committee, Secretariat staff, and general members.
- Supervise procurement processes and oversee inventory management for office supplies and logistics.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to various programs, events, and outreach activities organized by the Association.
