Experience:

About Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA):
The Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA) is the national representative body of the seed sector in Bangladesh, serving as a liaison between private seed companies and government institutions. With more than 18,000 members across three categories, BSA is dedicated to advancing the nation’s seed industry through advocacy, coordination, and capacity development. The Association promotes professionalism, transparency, and accountability in all its operations and activities.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate, transparent, and up-to-date financial records of the Association. The position involves managing membership accounts, including annual subscriptions and new member admission fees; recording income and expenditures from various programs; and ensuring full compliance with BSA’s approved Accounts Rules. The role also includes preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and assisting in the formulation of budgets and financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records related to all categories of BSA members, including annual subscriptions and admission fees.
Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions in accordance with standard accounting principles and BSA’s Accounts Rules.
Maintain documentation of all income and expenditure related to daily, weekly, and special organizational activities.
Prepare periodic financial statements and reports for review by the Executive Director and Executive Committee.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning documents.
Ensure proper presentation and submission of financial statements for both internal and external audits.
Manage cash, bank transactions, vouchers, and supporting financial documents securely and systematically.
Collaborate with program and administrative teams for financial data collection, reconciliation, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with established financial policies, audit recommendations, and relevant statutory requirements.
