Responsibilities & Context:

The Manager – Accounts will be responsible for managing the overall accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal control functions of the brokerage house, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with BSEC, DSE/CSE, and applicable laws of Bangladesh.

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, client ledger, bank reconciliation, and fund management

  • Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with DSE/SEC and company policies

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with BSEC, DSE/CSE, Bangladesh Bank, and NBR regulations

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, returns, and disclosures within stipulated timelines

  • Ensure timely salary disbursement and proper accounting of payroll expenses and deduction

  • Maintain segregation of client funds and company funds as per BSEC rules

  • Monitor client accounts, margin loans, brokerage income, and commission structures

  • Ensure proper handling of BO account-related financial transactions

  • Coordinate with operations and compliance teams to resolve financial discrepancies

  • Prepare and maintain monthly salary sheets, bonus sheets, increment sheets, and other payroll-related schedules accurately and on time.

  • Ensure continuous monitoring and updating of client codes to maintain zero minus balance at all times, in compliance with brokerage house and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other statutory deductions

  • Prepare tax computations and coordinate with tax consultants and authorities

  • Ensure timely payment of taxes and filing of returns

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit queries

  • Implement and maintain effective internal control systems

  • Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions

  • Supervise and mentor accounts team members

  • Review work output and ensure adherence to deadlines

  • Prepare MIS, management reports, and financial analysis for senior management

  • Any other assignment as assigned by the management from time to time.
