Education:

8–12 years of experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management (preferably in manufacturing/cement/steel)

Experience managing large-scale dispatch operations and nationwide distribution

Experience dealing with transporters, drivers, and multiple delivery points

Strong knowledge of transport operations, routing, and trip planning

Understanding of BRTA regulations, road safety, and vehicle compliance

Proficiency in ERP, GPS tracking systems, and transport dashboard reporting

Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and coordination ability

Ability to lead transport staff, drivers, and support teams

Ability to work under pressure, manage crises, and handle unexpected disruptions

Willingness to travel to different delivery points when required

Flexible to work extended hours during peak season or emergencies

Strong integrity with the ability to build and manage professional relationships with internal stakeholders



Responsibilities & Context:

Company: Confidence Cement Dhaka Limited

Job Location: Danga Bazar, Palash, Narsingdi

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor transport operations across various routes

  • Ensure optimal vehicle allocation based on volume, destination, route conditions, and delivery priority

  • Maintain and update daily dispatch plans, trip schedules, and route charts

  • Coordinate closely with plant operations and sales teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of vehicles

  • Oversee company-owned and hired fleet engaged in cement transportation nationwide

  • Maintain an updated roster of transporters, drivers, and available fleet

  • Monitor fleet performance, including trip frequency, lead time, route efficiency, fuel usage, and overall vehicle condition

  • Identify gaps in fleet availability and recommend solutions

  • Track all vehicle movements through GPS/ERP systems to ensure on-time delivery

  • Monitor and address transit delays, breakdowns, route diversions, or operational issues, ensuring prompt corrective action

  • Maintain accurate ETA communication with the plant and delivery points

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly transport performance reports as required

  • Review and verify transporter bills, trip sheets, challans, and all supporting documents

  • Ensure full compliance with company transport policies and applicable government regulations (BRTA rules, axle load limits, driving standards, and road safety)

  • Maintain complete documentation of all dispatch operations, trip records, and checkpoints

  • Enforce strict safety standards for loading operations and vehicle movement

  • Conduct periodic safety briefings and awareness sessions for drivers and helpers

  • Investigate transport-related accidents, delays, or product damages and implement preventive/corrective actions

  • Coordinate with sales teams, plant operations, and distribution centers to ensure smooth transport operations

  • Act as the primary contact point for transport-related issues, service recovery, and operational troubleshooting

  • Support the logistics team during audits, process reviews, and improvement initiatives

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and operational discipline

  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the management
