• Masters degree in any discipline
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management

• Masters in any discipline from well-reputed institute; Masters in Supply Chain or Logistics will be preferred
• Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain, fleet management, or related areas will be considered an added advantage

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in logistics, vessel/barge operations, transportation management, or supply chain (preferably in a cement plant, manufacturing, or heavy industry)
• Strong experience in coordinating vessel/barge transport and multimodal logistics
• Proven track record in vendor management, route optimization, and demand planning
• Experience with fleet management and supervising field logistics teams
• Strong understanding of barge/vessel operations, river routing, and ghat-side logistics
• Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics/transport management software
• Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Problem-solving and decision-making capability
• Willingness to travel frequently to ghats, distribution points, and customer locations
• Good knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to vessel and truck operations

Job Location: Danga Bazar, Palash, Narsingdi

• Plan and execute the overall vessel requirements from the plant to ensure smooth dispatch operations

• Enhance sourcing capacity and build strong relationships with vessel/barge transport agencies, vendors, and agents to ensure uninterrupted service

• Arrange secondary truck movement from ghats to various delivery points efficiently and on time

• Facilitate truck arrangements and improve ghat-side facilities to support PICK UP/FOB customers

• Improve utilization of the company’s own fleet for ghat operations, including overseeing fleet performance and staff management

• Maintain optimal stock levels, including safety stock, to ensure uninterrupted distribution

• Actively contribute to RTM/logistics initiatives to strengthen and optimize the existing distribution channels

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis to identify cost-effective transport routes for cement dispatch

• Prepare the annual budget for vessel dispatch and secondary trucking, and conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget vs latest estimate)

• Regularly update market intelligence on truck availability, freight rates, transport capacity, and emerging opportunities

• Perform periodic visits to ghats and distribution points; meet customers to assess demand and adjust distribution strategy accordingly

• Benchmark logistics activities against local industry practices to identify improvement opportunities

• Conduct physical checks at ghats and distribution points across the country to ensure operational discipline and accuracy

• Lead and participate in local cost-saving projects to reduce logistics expenses

• Arrange trainings and workshops to enhance the skills and experience of full-time employees and contractual staff involved in logistics operations

• Coordinate with internal teams to exchange information and maximize output from limited resources

• Work closely with BIWTA and relevant authorities for licenses, permissions, and compliance related to riverside facilities

• Perform any additional duties assigned by the management
