B.Sc in Textile Engineering from reputed university (Dyeing, Finishing, Wet Processing in subject)
At least 15 years of proven experience in knit fabric Dyeing, Finishing, Wet processing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Hands-on knowledge of modern dyeing & finishing machinery.
Strong background in meeting international buyer standards and handling audits.
The AGM of Knit Fabric Dyeing, Finishing, Batch Production & Quality will be responsible for leading the entire dye/ wet processing cycle of knit fabrics — from batch preparation through dyeing, finishing, and quality assurance. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, consistent quality, and compliance with buyer requirements and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Batch & Production Planning
Supervise batch preparation: shade matching, recipe development, and loading plans for knit fabrics.
Plan and control daily production schedules to meet shipment deadlines.
Monitor machine capacity utilization, minimize re-dyeing, and reduce fabric rejection.
Ensure smooth coordination between knitting, dyeing, finishing, and quality teams.
Dyeing Operations
Manage cotton, polyester, viscose, and blended knit fabrics.
Ensure reproducible shades, lab dip to bulk consistency, and “Right First Time” execution.
Monitor key parameters: liquor ratio, dye/chemical dosing, process cycle times, and machine performance.
Lead continuous improvement in productivity, water/energy savings, and cost optimization.
Finishing Operations
Supervise finishing processes for knits: stentering, compacting, sueding, calendaring, and special finishes.
Ensure fabric properties such as GSM, shrinkage, spirality, hand feel, and surface finish meet buyer standards.
Develop and implement new functional finishes (anti-pilling, moisture management, antibacterial, etc.).
Optimize finishing recipes and machine parameters for consistency and efficiency.
Quality Assurance
Set quality control checkpoints at batch, dyeing, and finishing stages.
Oversee shade approvals, fastness testing, shrinkage/spirality, and fabric performance tests.
Drive root cause analysis for shade mismatch, patchiness, barre, finishing defects, or re-dyeing.
Ensure low rejection and high buyer acceptance rates.
Compliance & Sustainability
Ensure all processes comply with ZDHC, Oeko-Tex, Scopes like GOTS, OCS, GRS and RCS and buyer-specific sustainability standards.
Monitor efficient chemical management for ETP, and eco-friendly process adoption.
Drive initiatives for reducing water, energy, and chemical consumption in dye processing.
Maintain all necessary documentation for technical compliance, audits, and certifications.
Leadership & Coordination
Lead and guide batch, dyeing, finishing, and quality teams with clear performance goals.
Train and mentor team members on technical processes, safety, and quality management.
Collaborate with planning, merchandising, and sourcing departments to ensure smooth order execution.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
