Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term starting up to 31 December 2022
∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for leading the development and ensuring the delivery of the EC Nutrition Governance Project`s nutrition advocacy agenda, ensuring a consistent approach and strategies to advocacy across the team. S/he should possess the vision, energy and passion for affecting change at national and local levels, building networks and relationships with a variety of stakeholders including government stakeholders and policy makers, donors, CSOs and others.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead in engaging programme teams and partners in designing and implementation advocacy strategies, plans and campaigns to ensure accountability of service providers to deliver quality social services focusing for nutrition in Nutrition Governance Project.
∎ Identifying, building and managing new partnerships and contract management.
∎ As Concern Worldwide Nutrition Governance Project Advocacy lead, represent Concern in strengthening the effectiveness of existing networks within Bangladesh amongst key advocacy partners, sectoral actors, networks, forums and issue specific national level conventions & platforms on Nutrition.
∎ Participate actively in team planning and other meetings, and set common objectives and goals and ensure that these are successfully achieved
∎ Document best practices and lesson learning related to advocacy work in the project and using it to contribute to Meso and Macro level advocacy campaigns, as outlined in the project proposal
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Programmes Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least eight (08) years progressively responsible professional work experience in a development organization/non-government organization (preferably that carries out Nutrition focused programmes). Among which two (02) years should be in leadership and Strategic role
∎ At least 5 years' experience in advocacy with a proven ability to apply advocacy techniques for pro-poor development at local and national levels.
∎ Experienced in pre-testing and concept testing advocacy and campaign tools, approaches, methodologies and content;
∎ Strong organizational skills, and ability to lead a stream of work;
∎ Proficient writing and verbal communication skills;
∎ Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in Bangla language.
∎ Ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with a multi-cultural team;
∎ Ability to think creatively and strategically;
Salary:
∎ ANNUAL Gross Salary range: BDT 668,928 /- to BDT 813,072/-
