Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Preparing Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Receipt and Payment, Cash Flow Statement, and related notes)
∎ Monitoring of fund management-related activities with the Project Coordinator.
∎ Prepare and maintain spreadsheet and subsidiary records in respect of payment.
∎ Monthly and periodic financial statement preparation for the organization and donor.
∎ Monitor and control IT and VAT deduction at source and deposit accordingly and issue necessary payment certificates to respective suppliers/service providers.
∎ Prepare program/project accounts, financial reports for the donor(s),
∎ Coordination with Internal and External Audit related activities
∎ Check and recommend Payment Vouchers, and cheques and maintain day-to-day banking and fund management.
∎ Ensure all supporting vouchers are attached to the payment request before payment.
∎ Responsible for Petty Cash funds and weekly reports for reimbursement
∎ Ensure cash advances are monitored and cleared on a timely basis.
∎ Prepare and update the advance register and notify staff if there is any pending advance to be settled.
∎ Issue receipts for all money received by cash, cheque, and bank transfer.
∎ Prepare bank reconciliations for all accounts.
∎ Preparing daily/weekly reports of bank balances and outstanding cheques.
∎ Ensure all financial vouchers are scanned and archiving of soft copy for donor
∎ Ensure all hard copy vouchers are archived properly
∎ Promote gender and social equity in all project interventions.

∎ WEAB is a Non-Profit organization (NGO) operating in the field of women empowerment, capacity development, and community building in the wider region of Bangladesh. The overall aim of WEAB is to facilitate awareness and capacity development programs for Women in Bangladesh.
∎ Women Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) is looking for an Admin and Finance officer for the UN Women Running Project. Admin and Finance officer will engage in daily update financial records, reports and documents, administrative office work, and assist RPM and officers need base activity. He will work at the WEAB regional office in Cox’s Bazar.

∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Admin and Accounts Officer will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial aspects of the project, ensuring effective resource management and compliance with donor regulations.
∎ Reportable to : Regional Project Manager (RPM)
∎ Duration : November 2024 to 30 April 2025

The main object of WEAB was to develop a support system for women entrepreneur to not only improve the quality of their products, to meet the changing market demands, but also to impart training on technical know how, design development and to create marketing links for their products.
Training programmes are regularly organized for WEAB members in various fields ranging from food processing, textile designing and quality development, production of new and innovative handicrafts to export-import, indenting, even running of petrol pumps. Traditionally women of Bangladesh were mostly engaged in agro based business like cottage craft, handicraft, stitching and embroidery, cane and bamboo weaving poultry and dairy farming.
