Job Purpose:
The Multipurpose Volunteer Supervisor (MPVS) is responsible for supervising, guiding, and monitoring Multipurpose Volunteers (MPVs) to ensure effective community engagement, promotion of the Family Package of Key Behaviours, and awareness of the Digital Community Feedback and Redressal Mechanism (CFRM). The MPVS ensures quality implementation of IPC sessions, household visits, community platform meetings, safeguarding compliance, and accurate reporting in line with UNICEF SBC standards and organizational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities with Engagement Percentage:
Total Engagement: 100% (Field & Supervisory Based): Supervision & Capacity Building of MPVs (40%), Community Engagement Oversight & Quality Assurance (25%), Digital CFRM & AAP Oversight (15%), Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation (15%) and Coordination & Safeguarding Compliance (5%)
A. Supervision & Capacity Building – 40%
Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to assigned MPVs
Develop and monitor monthly micro-plans for MPVs
Conduct regular field visits to observe IPC sessions, household visits, and community meetings
Provide on-the-job coaching and supportive supervision
Identify capacity gaps and recommend refresher training
Ensure MPVs meet assigned targets and performance standards
B. Community Engagement Oversight & Quality Assurance – 25%
Ensure effective implementation of community platform meetings (Adolescent, Father, Mother, Religious and Community Leaders groups)
Monitor the quality and accuracy of SBC messaging related to health, nutrition, hygiene, child protection, DRR, and emergency preparedness
Ensure the promotion of the Family Package of Key Behaviours aligns with approved SBC materials
Support organization of community events, campaigns, and awareness sessions
Ensure inclusion and participation of vulnerable and marginalized groups
C. Digital CFRM & AAP Oversight – 15%
Ensure MPVs effectively promote awareness of the Call Centre and Digital CFRM system.
Monitor the accuracy of information shared regarding hotline numbers and feedback mechanisms.
Support safe and confidential referral of complaints and sensitive cases.
Promote accountability, transparency, and community trust in feedback systems.
Coordinate with CFRM Officer to address recurring community concerns.
D. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation – 15%
Review and verify MPVs’ daily and weekly activity reports
Support to compile and submit consolidated reports to the Information Officer (IO)/Community Engagement and Capacity Development Officer
Track performance indicators and behavioural adoption progress
Document challenges, lessons learned, and best practices
Ensure timely reporting of emerging risks or community issues
E. Coordination & Safeguarding Compliance – 5%
Ensure MPVs adhere to safeguarding, PSEA, child protection, and GBV referral protocols
Immediately report sensitive cases or protection concerns to the supervisor through appropriate channels
Maintain coordination with camp authorities, community leaders, and sector partners
Ensure compliance with organizational Code of Conduct and ESRM guidelines
As per Organization/project provision
