Basic knowledge and experience in humanitarian and development programs, particularly in areas such as DRR, climate resilience, emergency response, or child protection.
Strong writing, communication, and research skills, with attention to detail in producing reports and documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.
Willingness to travel to remote or emergency-affected areas as required by the role.
Young (age must be within 20-26 years), motivated, ability to take initiative, work under pressure situation without losing composure and ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context:
The Role
The Young Professional (YP) will provide essential support to the Humanitarian team in advancing Plan International Bangladesh’s humanitarian programs and priorities. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in disaster risk reduction (DRR), emergency preparedness and response, climate resilience, and gender-transformative humanitarian actions. The YP will support the implementation of key initiatives related to child protection, SRHR, youth engagement, and community-based disaster management while contributing to the organization`s overarching humanitarian goals.
Areas of Growth
Develop individual technical and soft skills through the `Learning by Doing` method under mentorship of Advisor- Humanitarian Affairs
Acquire hands-on experience in Humanitarian Program, Research, Documentation, and Reporting, Project Implementation and Field Support, Emergency Response etc.
