∎ Experience working with local sanitation enterprises/ stakeholders (RCC ring, slab, sanitation material producers, latrine installers, associated mason etc.).

∎ In depth technical and market knowledge to improve product quality and business for local sanitation enterprises.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Location: Any Upazila of Jhalokati district.
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of the entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. The health & WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 16 projects. DAM Health & WASH Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of wash Field Facilitator of its “USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activities” (BNA) Project, based in Upazilla level of Jhalokati district under Barishal Division.
∎ Job Summary: WASH Field Facilitator will be responsible for providing necessary support to Bangladesh Nutrition Activity Upazilla level. She/he will closely work with the Latrine Producer (LP), Masons, WASH product marketing companies, community, BNA district team and will support her/his supervisor in daily operations.
∎ Scouting potential local sanitation actors, interview, analyze and identify beneficiaries.
∎ Arrange, coordinate and deliver capacity building training sessions on technical upgradation, market promotion and business development for local sanitation enterprises
∎ Regular follow up to strengthen relationships with sanitation enterprises through mentoring, coaching, and guiding to develop business plan and upgrade mechanism for record keeping, customer data listing, after sales performance monitoring etc.
∎ Regular follow up to support Sanitation enterprise to identify and understand potential customers and deliver market promotional campaigns
∎ Explore the local market to identify private sector suppliers and conduct meetings to strengthen the business linkage between private sector suppliers and Sanitation enterprises.
∎ Regularly meet with local government institutes (Upazila Parishod, Union Parishod etc.), strengthen linkage with beneficiaries and share BNA progress.
