Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to maintain smooth supply chain operations. The role requires leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage warehouse staff and maintain accurate inventory levels that support retail store demands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

Supervise all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock to retail outlets and customers.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the warehouse.

Monitor and optimize space utilization to ensure efficient stock handling.

2. Inventory Management

Oversee daily inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Ensure accurate entry of stock movements into the inventory management system (ERP or POS).

Conduct periodic stock audits and coordinate with the finance and procurement teams for verification.

Monitor product expiry dates and manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).

3. Team Supervision

Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.

Plan and assign daily tasks and shift schedules for warehouse workers.

Ensure staff adhere to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Evaluate team performance and identify training needs.

4. Safety & Compliance

Enforce workplace safety rules and ensure proper use of equipment.

Conduct routine safety inspections and report potential hazards.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

5. Reporting & Coordination

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and retail store teams to manage stock flow.

Report damaged, missing, or delayed goods promptly to management.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in retail or FMCG.

Supervisory or team leadership experience required.

Skills:

Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Excellent knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Office.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Work Environment

Fast-paced retail warehouse environment.

Requires physical activity such as lifting, moving, and organizing products.

Flexible to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours as per business needs.
