Additional Skills & Requirements

• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems

• Basic understanding of electrical systems

• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• Physical fitness for fieldwork

• Ability to work independently and in teams

Installation & Setup

• Install, inspect, and commission air conditioning systems, refrigerators, deep freezers, and cold storage units

• Ensure proper placement, wiring, piping, and insulation according to safety standards

• Test newly installed systems to ensure proper functionality

Maintenance & Servicing

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on AC units and refrigeration systems

• Clean filters, coils, ducts, and drainage systems regularly

• Check refrigerant levels and refill when necessary

• Ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose faults in cooling systems, compressors, motors, thermostats, and electrical components

• Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, relays, capacitors, and sensors

• Handle gas leakage detection and repair (Freon or other refrigerants)

• Ensure minimal downtime of equipment

Electrical & Mechanical Work

• Handle electrical wiring, circuit testing, and control panel troubleshooting

• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals

• Ensure all electrical connections comply with safety regulations

Tools & Equipment Handling

• Use specialized tools such as manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, and multimeters

• Maintain tools and ensure proper usage and storage

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during installation and repairs

• Handle refrigerants and hazardous materials responsibly

• Ensure compliance with environmental and industry standards

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and repair reports

• Report major issues or system failures to supervisors

• Provide cost estimates for repairs and replacements
