Job Responsibilities & Duties

1. Inventory Management

·   Maintain accurate records of stock in the warehouse

·   Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stock-outs

·   Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system data

·   Ensure FIFO/FEFO methods are followed (especially for FMCG and perishables)

2. Receiving & Dispatch Operations

·   Supervise receiving of goods from suppliers and distribution centers

·   Verify quantity, quality, expiry dates, and purchase documents

·   Ensure timely dispatch of goods to super shop outlets or sales floors

·   Prepare and verify GRN, delivery notes, and transfer documents

3. Storage & Organization

·   Ensure proper storage of goods according to category and safety standards

·   Maintain cleanliness, labeling, and systematic arrangement of items

·   Ensure temperature-controlled storage where required

·   Reduce product damage and pilferage

4. Staff Supervision

·   Supervise warehouse assistants, loaders, and storekeepers

·   Assign daily tasks and monitor staff performance

·   Train staff on warehouse procedures, safety, and handling methods

·   Ensure discipline and compliance with company policies

5. Loss Prevention & Safety

·   Minimize shrinkage, wastage, and theft

·   Enforce safety rules and proper use of equipment

·   Ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety regulations

·   Report incidents, damages, and discrepancies to management

6. Documentation & Reporting

·   Maintain accurate warehouse records and registers

·   Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports

·   Report slow-moving, damaged, or expired products

·   Coordinate with accounts and procurement departments

7. Coordination & Communication

·   Coordinate with purchasing, sales, logistics, and store management

·   Ensure smooth flow of goods from warehouse to sales floor

·   Support promotional activities by ensuring product availability

·   Handle supplier and transporter coordination when required

8. System & Process Control

·   Operate inventory software / ERP / POS systems

·   Ensure correct system entries for receipts, issues, and adjustments

·   Improve warehouse efficiency and suggest process improvements

9. Compliance & Quality Control

·   Ensure compliance with company SOPs and retail standards

·   Monitor product quality and expiry management

·   Follow legal and regulatory requirements related to storage and handling

10. Other Duties

·   Handle emergency stock requirements

·   Support audits and inspections

·   Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
