Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Leather Engineering, Footwear Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or relevant discipline.
Executive: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Senior Executive: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in footwear QC/QA, footwear sourcing, leather goods, bags, accessories, or apparel quality will be preferred.
Experience working with local and international/imported suppliers will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
Good knowledge of leather, synthetic, rubber, textile, EVA, PU, adhesives, and footwear components.
Practical knowledge of AQL, sampling inspection, defect classification, and quality reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify workmanship and material defects.
Proficiency in MS Excel, quality documentation, and inspection tools.
Strong communication, coordination, supplier follow-up, and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel to supplier factories, warehouses, and other operational locations as required.
Vibrant is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Executive / Senior Executive – Quality Control (QC) to ensure product quality across its retail product portfolio. The primary focus will be footwear quality, covering products sourced from both local and imported suppliers. The role will also support quality inspection of leather bags, accessories, and selected apparel products.
Conduct pre-production, incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of footwear from local and international suppliers.
Inspect footwear construction, materials, sizing, fitting, stitching, bonding, sole attachment, finishing, color, symmetry, branding, and overall workmanship.
Identify and classify defects and ensure products meet approved samples, specifications, measurement charts, and quality standards.
Conduct AQL-based final inspection and recommend acceptance, rejection, rework, or re-inspection of product batches.
Inspect leather bags, wallets, belts, and other leather accessories for material quality, stitching, dimensions, hardware, zipper, lining, finishing, branding, and workmanship.
Conduct quality checks of relevant accessories such as bags, belts, wallets, socks, and other assigned products.
Support apparel quality inspection when required, including fabric, color, measurement, stitching, finishing, printing/embroidery, labels, and overall workmanship.
Conduct or coordinate relevant product testing, including abrasion, flexing/durability, bonding/adhesion, slip resistance, water resistance, and dimensional accuracy for footwear where applicable.
Use and maintain inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring/testing equipment.
Analyze defect data by supplier, product, article, and defect type and conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Sourcing, Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Design, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct supplier/factory quality visits and monitor the quality performance of local and imported suppliers.
Maintain inspection reports, defect records, testing reports, quality checklists, and supplier performance records.
Provide quality feedback on development samples, pre-production samples, and go-by samples before bulk production.
Support supplier evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, and internal quality audits.
Train relevant production/supplier personnel on quality standards, inspection procedures, and defect prevention.
