Job Context:
∎ Duty Station: Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ Reports to: Program Officer
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: Up to 31st December, 2022
∎ Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Support (YES ) will be implemented in four Upazilas of Cox`s bazar districts namely Cox`s Bazar Sadar, Ramu, Ukhia and Teknaf. The primary role of CCDB is to integrate Do No Harm approach in the whole project. CCDB will be involved in capacity building of host community people including youths in analyzing context of the conflict, as well as minimizing the risk of potential conflict in the project locations. CCDB will also develop peace module which will be integrated in TVET curricula to be developed by another partner. Under the supervision of the Program Officer, The Training Officer is responsible for the effective training management of the USAID`s YES Activity projects. This position demands someone who can support multiple grants/projects and work in a very fast-paced environment. Previous experience with USAID, ECHO, WFP and other donors.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct survey and training needs assessment of the host community in the working areas.
∎ Organize and conducting training, workshops, meetings and campaigns with the host community.
∎ Assist in preparing reports on the event of each training, workshop, meetings and campaigns and keep proper documentation.
∎ Develop the training materials, manuals and Peace Modules for school teachers in consultation with project coordinator and program officers.
∎ Establishing a system of documentation on participants in training courses and in monitoring the effects of training by follow up visits and discussions.
∎ Maintain contact with host community, selected youths and schools.
∎ Assist in planning, reviewing and monitoring day to day training activities, modifying program independently as and when necessary, and reporting the monitoring results to the Program Officer.
∎ Perform any other task given by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Working knowledge on MS Office Word, MS Office Excel, MS Office Power Point Software Program.
∎ Good communication skills in Bangla and English
∎ Should have knowledge on training management (preferable with prior experience in USAID project)
∎ Should have knowledge on general administration
∎ Work on programs involving social cohesion, youth skill development
∎ Commitment to local capacity building for peace and the ability to engage local stakeholders in peace building process
∎ Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem solving, conflict and ethical management skills
∎ Knowledge on Conflict analysis such as "Dividing and Connecting factors" in the society
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
