Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor herd health and investigate disease to ensure proper treatment and regular follow-up of all farm animals.
∎ Attend night time calving.
∎ Perform Rectal palpation, AI, pregnancy diagnosis and solve reproductive problems as per protocol.
∎ Ensure proper calf and calving management, solve dystocia, ensure proper calf feeding, deworming, vaccination, and calf health.
∎ Perform emergency medical care and major-minor surgical procedures to save animals.
∎ Ensure farm Biosecurity and perform scheduled vaccination, deworming, and disinfection routinely.
∎ Ensure Hoof health management, perform hoof trimming, find lame cows, and ensure proper care.
∎ Record keeping, and analysis of farm data to help decision-making.
∎ Monitor feeding and ensure feeding of all animals as per protocol.
∎ Communicate with buyers and sellers regarding animal sales or purchases and keep records.
∎ Communicate with other concerns regarding material supply and ensure availability of farm supplies.
