• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)/BSc in Vet & AH/ BSc in AH with MS in relevant field is preferable.

• 2 to 3 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

• Age At least 24 years

• Must have basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Power point and data analysis software.

• Excellent Communication skills both in English & Bangla.

Experience

• 2-3 years working experience in relevant field is preferable.

Skills:

• Experiences in semen quality control and managing overall hygiene related to bovine semen production

Lal Teer Livestock Development (Bangladesh) Limited a concern of Multimode Group is the first Bangladeshi Research and Development (R & D) based "Livestock Breeding Company" in the private sector. From the very inception LTLD has been working for the improvement of Buffalo and Cattle breed throughout the country. Our R&D includes genetic farm (breeding farm), bull stations, fodder bank and modern semen processing laboratory, as well as improvement of feed, animal health and management technique for smallholder animal farmers including women entrepreneurs. The Bull Station is fully equipped with live bull management and semen production and distribution of frozen semen of dairy, beef cattle and buffaloes which is quality certified by ISO (ISO 9001:2015). Job Context

A Scientific Officer for bull semen processing is a laboratory professional who performs quality control tests, processes semen for artificial insemination, and maintains the health and fertility of bulls. This role involves macro- and microscopic examination, sperm concentration analysis, motility and morphology checks, and ensuring the semen is disease-free through rigorous health testing protocols. A key part of the job is to ensure that the semen is viable and meets high-quality standards for successful use in breeding programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure day to day Individual bull observation including Bull Herd Health management

• Act on bull semen collection for ensuring quality production with its relevant operation

• Maintain quality assurance for semen production, processing, preservation, distribution in the bull station as well as in the filed

• Maintaining regular semen microbiological test as well as sperm staining for morphometric analysis.

• Certification of quality bull, semen in lab and progeny at the field through customer feedback

• Prepare, maintain & analysis of the QC data and report to higher authority.

• Maintain AI laboratory registers, bull feeding register, semen collection and evaluation register, product check register, temperature/humidity register, health observation registers etc.

• Overall bull management including feeding, hygienic and climatic adjustment and monitoring the activity of bull shed supervisors, semen collectors and labor management.

• Management of quarantine bulls including bovine purchasing for CF/LF.

• Activation confirmation of de-worming, vaccination

• Supervision of controlling bio-security of LTL farm and health observation of all animals

• Have to stay around the Farm with own responsibilities to ensure semen collection and process regularly on time

• Any assignment given by the higher authority / management

• Effective Implementation of ISO 9001:2015
