Education:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Animal Husbandry (AH) from a recognized university.

  • Registration with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council (BVC) will be considered an advantage

  • Sound knowledge of poultry diseases, vaccination programs, and farm biosecurity.

  • Strong understanding of commercial layer management and poultry production systems.

    Ability to interpret laboratory reports and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Willingness to stay and work at the farm location.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Monitor the overall health and welfare of layer flocks on a daily basis.

  • Develop, implement, and supervise vaccination and medication schedules.

  • Diagnose diseases through clinical examination, laboratory reports, and post-mortem analysis.

  • Prescribe and administer appropriate treatment to minimize mortality and production losses.

  • Implement and maintain strict farm biosecurity and disease prevention protocols.

  • Monitor flock performance indicators including mortality, feed intake, egg production, egg quality, and body weight.

  • Conduct routine health assessments and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

  • Supervise medicine inventory and ensure the proper storage and use of veterinary products.

  • Maintain accurate health, treatment, vaccination, mortality, and production records.

  • Coordinate with farm management to improve bird health, productivity, and operational efficiency.

  • Train farm personnel on animal welfare, disease recognition, sanitation, and biosecurity practices.

  • Liaise with diagnostic laboratories, feed suppliers, hatcheries, and regulatory authorities when required.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, livestock regulations, and food safety standards.

  • Prepare periodic technical reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
