Job Context:
∎ Save the Children is seeking a Technical Director for an anticipated five-year USAID-funded Accelerating Reductions in Adolescent Childbearing (ARaC) program in Bangladesh. The program will focus on increasing the ability of adolescents to exercise their right to delay early marriage and childbearing; strengthen social support for adolescents to delay marriage and early childbearing; strengthen essential services for adolescents and their families; and institutionalize effective solutions.

∎ This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
∎ Contract length: Regular
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years of professional experience designing, managing, and implementing donor-funded adolescent health and/or child, early, and forced marriage programs.
∎ Knowledge of state-of-the-art strategies, tools, and methodologies related to child, early, and forced marriage; adolescent family planning and reproductive health; social and gender norms; gender-based violence; and related areas.
∎ Experience with health and gender programming for very young adolescents (ages 10-14).
∎ Familiarity with USAID approaches and regulations.
∎ Experience using collaboration, learning, and adaptation to continuously improve the quality of implementation.
∎ Knowledge of the context in Bangladesh as it relates to child, early, and forced marriage and adolescent childbearing, including relevant government processes and policies.
∎ Experience living and working in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated experience working with local and youth-led organizations, including in capacity development on technical areas relevant to child, early, and forced marriage and adolescent childbearing.
∎ Demonstrated experience collaborating with multisectoral partners to advance adolescent wellbeing and gender equality, including in areas related to gender-based violence, education, economic opportunities, mental health and psychosocial support; and resilience.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in teams.
∎ Creative problem- solving skills with the ability to work effectively in resource-constrained environments.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
