Job Context:
∎ Seeking an efficient, detail-oriented mixed methods research associate to join SAJIDA Foundation. The role requires to interpret, analyse and manage research data. The research associate will be responsible for coordinating a variety of rapid assessments, different research initiatives and impact evaluations, primarily to support different initiatives of the Environment and Climate Change program of SAJIDA.
∎ The research associate will be part of the Research & Evaluation department, reporting to General Manager of Research. The research associate will manage the research portfolio of Climate Change and Disaster Management program, working closely with Lead consultant and team of CCDM program. The research associate will document emerging best practice within pilot project and assist to integrate emerging insights into project operations in order to improve and develop the project design.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in designing data-driven programs.
∎ Work cooperatively with different stakeholders, inside and outside the organization, to accomplish objectives to build and maintain partnerships, leverage information, and achieve results.
∎ Review relevant secondary literature.
∎ Analyse information obtained from surveys to understand prevailing issues and design interventions/conduct advocacy around them.
∎ a.Coordinate the environment and climate change program’s research operations
∎ Identify the need and gap for research through literature reviews and ongoing engagement with the program operations team.
∎ Develop and manage the program’s research agenda, including actively collaborating and working with the external knowledge partners and researchers working with environment and climate change.
∎ Contribute to the development and design of a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects including the design and development of survey tools, preparing interview and focus group questions.
∎ Travel to field sites (multiple locations across Bangladesh) to collect and record data and/or samples as appropriate to the specific objectives of the study.
∎ Support to develop and implement the M&E plan for the program.
∎ Support the operations team to integrate research findings into M&E reports as necessary.
∎ b. PROTOCOL COMPLIANCE
∎ Oversee the research team to help ensure ethical conduct in all aspects of the research process, including but not limited to, conflicts of interest, data acquisition, management, sharing and ownership, publication practices, responsible authorship and reporting.
∎ Ensure all protocol deviations are implemented only after review and approval by SAJIDA Foundation and BMRC.
∎ Review the inclusion /exclusion criteria, call schedule, end point criteria and investigational article use with the research team.
∎ Obtain informed consent.
∎ c. DOCUMENTATION & PUBLICATION
∎ Prepare manuscripts; and correct and proof-read data analyses to produce scientific publications (report and article).
∎ Correspond with relevant authorities to publish study findings in scientific journals.
∎ Correspond to submit papers, handle revisions, handle re-submission of revised manuscripts and follow through to paper acceptance.
∎ Oversee the proper close out of sponsored projects, including the submission of all required final reports.

Salary: Tk. 80000 - 120000 (Monthly)
