Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), impact assessment, baseline studies, end-line studies, surveys, and development consulting.

• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale research projects and field surveys.

• Experience working with government institutions, development partners, NGOs, research organizations, or consulting firms.

• Proven track record in proposal writing, report writing, and project coordination.

• Experience in donor-funded projects supported by organizations such as the World Bank, ADB, UN Agencies, USAID, GIZ, FCDO, JICA, or similar organizations will be considered an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong report-writing and communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or similar analytical tools.

• Experience using digital data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, or similar systems.

• Strong project management and coordination skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively across Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

• The Research Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring research projects and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality outputs. Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and manage quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research projects.

• Develop research designs, methodologies, survey instruments, questionnaires, discussion guides, and data collection tools.

• Prepare technical and financial proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and tender documents.

• Develop project work plans, field implementation strategies, and quality assurance frameworks.

• Organize and conduct training for field teams, enumerators, supervisors, and researchers.

• Supervise field operations and ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical standards.

• Monitor data collection activities and ensure data quality through validation and quality control mechanisms.

• Conduct literature reviews, desk reviews, and secondary data analyses.

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate analytical tools and techniques.

• Prepare inception reports, progress reports, draft reports, final reports, policy briefs, and presentations.

• Coordinate with clients, development partners, government agencies, and stakeholders throughout project implementation.

• Support project management, budgeting, documentation, and reporting activities.

• Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining the highest professional standards.
