Required Qualifications and Skills.

a. Master's degree from a recognized university. Students who graduated with a degree in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Mass Communication and Journalism and Economics departments are encouraged to apply.

b. A minimum CGPA of 3.50 is required in both Honours and Masters.

c. Deep understanding of research methodology is required. Skill and experience in data collection from field, analysis, and presentation for conducting academic research.

d. Required knowledge of mathematics and statistics, data based quantitative tools for conducting academic research.

e. Good people skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience in similar roles will be considered an advantage.

The Osmani Centre for Peace and Security Studies (OCPASS) is a dedicated think tank committed to advancing research, policy analysis, and dialogue on peace and security issues of critical importance to Bangladesh's national interests. The Centre generates informed perspectives that can contribute to both national policymaking and regional stability. Operating under a team-based research structure, OCPASS brings together professionals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds to collaborate on shared research goals to address complex security challenges.

1.  Job Title. Research Analyst

2. Description: Osmani Centre for Peace and Security Studies (OCPASS) invites applications from dynamic, motivated, and qualified candidates for the position of Research Analyst.

3.   Job Responsibilities.

a.      Assist conducting research on peace, security, and related fields.

b.     Draft research proposals, collect, analyze, and present data, prepare reports, work as rapporteur, draft concept notes, and other relevant documents, as necessary.

c.      Coordinate and organize various academic and professional events such as seminars, webinars, roundtable discussions, workshops, and conferences.

d.     Proofreading, editing, and basic editorial tasks for research publications and documents.

e.      Host and moderate podcasts, online talk shows, and other digital outreach activities.

f.      Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
