Experience:
Master’s/Bachelor degree from any discipline (Preferably in Statistics, English, Social Science, Development Studies)
At least one year experience in data entry in manual recording system in hard copies as well as computerized health information management system.
Knowledge and understanding of computerized information systems and experience of working in public health sector in humanitarian crisis will be an added advantage.
Previous work in Government health system will add value to the position.
Working experience in public health facilities under World Bank supported Health and Gender Support Program will be preferred

Reportable to: UH&FPO - Upazila Health Complex at Upazila level
Accountable to: As an appointing authority, you will be accountable to PHD for legal and disciplinary procedures for which PHD will review your performances periodically. Team Leader of this project and senior officials will represent PHD.
Monitoring & Technical Assistants: PHD in collaboration with UNICEF will deploy a group of staff for round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. This may include spot check, review of performance reports and assessing technical competency.
Work station: Upazila Health Complexes (UHCs) of Kutubdia, Moheshkhali, Hatiya and Swandip
Job Context:
Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a national development organization in Bangladesh that has been working in the public health sector over 35 years and currently implementing different projects around the country. PHD intends to hire four competent ‘Data entry operator (statistician) for proposed Health System Strengthening by mitigating critical Human Resource gaps in hard-to-reach areas in Bangladesh, in Moheshkhali (Cox’s Bazar), Kutubdia (Cox’s Bazar), Hatiya (Noakhali), Swandip (Chattogram).
Job objective:
To support the operational activities under Inclusive Services and Opportunities for Host Communities and Displaced Rohingya Population (ISO), a project funded by the Government of Bangladesh and the World Bank is to manage investments primarily at 4 hard-to-reach Upazilas level of care towards the strengthening of Health and Nutrition services. As a part of human resource support, PHD and UNICEF propose to provide and strengthen facility services in (Kutubdia, Moheshkhali, Hatiya, and Swandip Upazila Health Complex. The ‘Data entry operators (statisticians) are responsible for organizing data related to program indicators. S/He will utilize technical expertise to ensure the validity and reliability of the data and work in collaboration with government counterpart as well as project team to support the management for decision making. Data is then analysed, designed, and presented in a way that assists organizations in making better decisions for mentioned project.
Job Responsibilities:
The Data entry operator (statistician) will work closely with the project official’s and Statistician of Upazila Health Complex for data compiling and reporting
Develop and implement appropriate data collection methodologies and tools, analysis plans, reporting outlines, and data dissemination/utilization of plans
Maintain and further develop the structure or format of the data as required, incorporating ideas and amendments from relevant staff
Maintain the HMIS system, prepare data collection tools and oversee the HMIS data
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the HMIS data and maintain timely data submission in HMIS and project reporting system
Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and activity-wise reports, and submit them to PHD, UNICEF and other sectors as required
Data entry operator (statistician) needs to be able to analyze data and explore it for insights. This includes using statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions.
Upholding and promoting the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct about PHD’s values and Code of Conduct, including safeguarding against sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
Generating daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports (accident or incident report, ESS performance report, waste management inventory) with statistics of daily, weekly, monthly ED visits, admissions, DAMA, and Death, including those required for donor and government reporting other requests for information as required.
Should have willingness to receive awareness trainings related to ESS, CFM, PSEA and other applicable for the project
Assist conducting spot check, ESS monitoring by the auditor, UNICEF or donor
Take part actively during the missions conducted by UNICEF or donor
Support ESS focal to fulfill UNICEF and donor requirement
To provide cross work cover and support as necessary and to undertake specific project work as directed by the respected authority.
Maintaining highest level of professional ethics.
Playing active role in timely and completely daily, monthly and yearly reporting.
Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the respective authority
Any other tasks deemed necessary to achieve the project objectives according to the request of higher authority.
Any other assignment given by PHD management.
