Job Context:
∎ Rupantar, a development organization has been working in Disaster Management & Climate Change adaptation, Democracy & Political empowerment, Popular Media & Folk Theatre, Children & Youth rights and Peace & Tolerance. Rupantar is now inviting applications from suitable experienced and interested candidate to work coastal areas for filling up the following job vacancies to work in a climate change and DRR focused project supported by CARE Bangladesh dealing with Climate Risk Mitigation in Bagerhat District.
∎ Project Name : Pioneering Community Funding for Addressing Climate Change Loss & Damage
∎ Job Location : Sarankhola Upazila in Bagerhat District
∎ Project Duration: 1st September, 2023 to 29th February, 2024
∎ Job Category : Project Staff

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will be responsible for implementation of all Upazila/union level activities. S/he will be assisted by the Field Facilitator.
∎ S/he is responsible for ensuring all project activities (e.g., assessments for participant's selection, Community mobilization, distribution, organizing skill development sessions and PDM) are implemented according to the work plan.
∎ Will regularly coordinate with the CARE's Sr. Project Officer (SPO) to ensure agreed work plan implementation, generate KML documents such as developing training modules, handouts etc.
∎ Supervise the Field Facilitators for proper and timely implementation of the activities.
∎ The Sr. Project Officer will submit report inputs to Project Manager of CLIMB.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ At least 03 years' relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in DRR and Climate Justice project,
∎ Good community mobilizing, consultation and session facilitation skills
∎ Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, civil society groups and local stakeholders including Government
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.
∎ Familiar with bio-physical and socio-economic condition of Bagerhat or similar district
∎ Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to prioritize activities to act and decide promptly.
∎ Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language, English and Bengali;
∎ Pro-active and participatory decision-making and problem-solving;
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds;
∎ Experience in Cash for work (CFW) modality through Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) will be prioritized
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection
∎ The candidates should have the age limit of 28 to 45 years and have the ability to work in adverse situations
∎ Ability to stay at project area
∎ Strong team player with well-developed network.
∎ Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.

∎ The candidates who are familiar with the coastal region will be given importance.
∎ Salary and benefits will depend on clearance of Bangladesh Govt and Donor,
∎ Candidate should be child and Gender sensitive.
