Job Context:
∎ The Sr. Officer - IT is part of the RSC`s IT Department. The role reports to the Head of IT and is based in the RSC office in Dhaka.
∎ The role is primarily responsible for creation and execution of the overall IT strategy covering key aspects of IT infrastructure, IT security & compliances, IT applications and transformation aimed at ensuring smooth functioning of the RSC. This role is as much about understanding how information systems are used as applying technical knowledge related to computer hardware or software. This role also will support to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Computer assembling and maintenance.
∎ Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
∎ Installing and configuring the peripherals, components, and drivers
∎ Installing software and application to user standards
∎ Sound knowledge of digital and analog embedded computer hardware
∎ Wide knowledge of motherboard and circuit designs of monitor
∎ Deep knowledge of printer and cartage refilling.
∎ Familiarity with Analog Circuit, Digital Circuit, PCB design, schematic capture, board layout, vendor interface analysis, and simulation
∎ Proficient with electrical hardware test equipment (Multi-meter, PCB testing card, analog meter, etc.)
∎ Expertise hands in troubleshooting Computer hardware-related problems such as UPS, SMPS, printers, and drivers.
∎ installing, configuring and maintaining computers in large organizations
∎ ensuring clients websites and applications stay up and running and offering technical support.
∎ follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
∎ support the roll-out of new applications
∎ set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
∎ respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
∎ work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
∎ test and evaluate new technology
∎ conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least more than 5 years of experience of handling various aspects of IT and Data Management as well as knowledge of latest available technology and applications required
∎ Excellent understanding of IT and Data Management tools, delivery approaches and architecture.
∎ Sound knowledge of various operating systems.
∎ Good knowledge of all the hardware devices and their management.
∎ Sound knowledge of Network management.
∎ the ability to think logically
∎ a good memory of how software and operating systems work
∎ excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
∎ the ability to work well in a team
∎ problem-solving skills
∎ Deep knowledge of printer and cartage refilling.
∎ Professionalism, integrity, a strong work ethic, and commitment to organization goals
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English (and Bangla if required)
