Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors in Apparel Merchandising/ B.Sc in Textile from any reputed University, students from BGMEA University of Fashion Technology will get preferences.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Merchandising
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data;
∎ Using computer software, for example to handle sales statistics, produce sales projections and present spread sheets and graphs;
∎ Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance or set promotions as necessary;
∎ Gathering information on customers' reactions to products;
∎ Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines;
∎ Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise;
∎ Monitoring and sourcing complete sample, lab dips, accessories, trims from home & abroad and communicate with various suppliers to get the current price/ strike off / Hand loom;
∎ Having excellent product knowledge with capacity of handling very demanding and globally renowned customers;
∎ Corresponding and managing different reputed buyers independently;
∎ Acting as the key contact point for suppliers, quality team and buying team for production management;
∎ Working under Head of Merchandising;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Work experience: At least 4-5 years' work experiences in local or global organization;
∎ Industry or business area: Incumbent's those who have work experience of garments (Woven)/ buying houses business will get preferences.
∎ Age limit: Age at least 28-35 year(s)
∎ Languages: Fluent written and spoken English and Bengali;
∎ Computer skills: Computer proficiency - particularly MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
∎ Knowledge: Moderate knowledge of Information Technology working procedures.
