Job Context:

AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd. is a 100% export oriented knit composite factory. We are looking for a experienced and energetic dyeing quality Manager/ Sr. Manager. The Senior Manager – Dyeing Quality is responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality excellence across all dyeing operations within the organization. This role operates in a fast-paced textile manufacturing environment, requiring close coordination with production, R&D, chemical management, compliance, and merchandising teams to meet buyer requirements, regulatory standards, and sustainability goals.

 Job Responsibilities:

Quality Management & Assurance

  • Establish, implement, and monitor quality standards for dyeing processes in line with buyer requirements and industry norms.
  • Ensure shade consistency, color fastness, and overall dyeing quality across all production lots.
  • Approve lab dips, bulk shades, and first bulk dyeing before mass production.

Process Control & Improvement

  • Monitor dyeing processes (batch, continuous, yarn, fabric, or garment dyeing) to minimize defects and reprocessing.
  • Analyze quality issues such as shade variation, patchiness, staining, bleeding, and fastness failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, re-dyeing, and wastage.

Testing & Compliance

  • Ensure all in-house and external testing (color fastness, rubbing, washing, light, perspiration, etc.) meets buyer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with laboratories and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO, AATCC, and buyer-specific protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical regulations (e.g., ZDHC, REACH, RSL/MRSL).

Buyer & Audit Coordination

  • Act as the key point of contact for buyers on dyeing quality-related matters.
  • Handle buyer complaints, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal, buyer, and third-party quality audits.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead and mentor dyeing quality teams, lab technicians, and floor quality inspectors.
  • Conduct regular training on dyeing standards, testing methods, and quality awareness.
  • Evaluate team performance and ensure proper manpower deployment.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with production, R&D, lab, chemical suppliers, and planning teams to ensure right-first-time dyeing.
  • Support new developments, shade matching, and new fabric/process trials.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain quality reports, KPIs, rejection analysis, and improvement dashboards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of SOPs, test reports, and audit records.
  • Present monthly quality performance and improvement plans to senior management.

Cost & Risk Management

  • Control quality-related costs by reducing rework, claims, and chemical wastage.
  • Identify potential risks in dyeing processes and take preventive measures.

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Promote eco-friendly dyeing practices, water and energy conservation, and sustainable chemicals.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and chemicals to improve quality and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement dyeing strategies aligned with production goals, cost targets, and quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce reprocessing, and minimize wastage.
  • Drive innovation in dyeing processes, including adoption of new dyes, chemicals, and technologies.
  • Mentor and develop managers, supervisors, and technical staff within the dyeing function.
  • Conduct performance reviews and skill-gap assessments; organize technical training programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Support buyer audits, technical meetings, and color approval processes.
  • Address buyer complaints related to dyeing and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and merchandising teams for new color developments and trials.
