Responsibilities & Context:

Dairy Farm Operations Management

  • Plan, run, monitor, and control daily operations of the dairy farm.
  • Oversee feeding, breeding, housing, and welfare of cattle.
  • Maintain records of livestock health, productivity, and breeding cycles.
  • Supervise farm workers and provide necessary training and guidance.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of resources like feed, medicines, manpower, and equipment.

Cattle Health & Treatment

  • Monitor health conditions of cattle and implement disease prevention measures.
  • Coordinate with veterinary professionals for treatment and vaccination.
  • Maintain veterinary records and stock of medicines.
  • Ensure timely deworming and other necessary health protocols.

Milking Hub Operations

  • Prepare necessary licences, certifications and related documents.
  • Manage milk collection from commercial dairy farms and household cattle.
  • Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of all collection points and storage units.
  • Maintain quality parameters of milk such as fat content, temperature, and purity.
  • Coordinate logistics and timely dispatch of collected milk to distribution centers or processing units.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety standards.
  • Monitor hygiene practices in both farm and milking hub.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits for quality assurance.

Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date logs of milk collection, cattle performance, feed inventory, etc.
  • Generate operational and financial reports for management.
