Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a highly skilled SQA Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality and reliability of our enterprise Java-based applications. You will design, develop and execute automated and manual test suites, working closely with Java developers to identify bugs, improve system performance, and maintain the integrity of our software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation: Design and maintain robust, scalable automated testing frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit specifically for Java applications.
Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira; verify fixes and perform comprehensive regression testing.
Integration Testing:
Collaborate with the development team to perform API testing (REST/SOAP) and integration testing for microservices-based architectures.
CI/CD Integration:
Integrate automated tests into Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality monitoring.
Performance Testing:
Conduct load and stress testing using tools like JMeter to ensure Java applications can handle high traffic volumes.
Code Review Support:
Participate in sprint planning and code reviews to provide a "quality first" perspective during the initial stages of development.
Manual Testing:
Perform exploratory and ad-hoc manual testing for new features where automation is not yet feasible.
