Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure all sourced yarns meet required technical parameters and buyer specifications.
∎ Monitor and document lab test results and quality performance.
∎ Support vendors in process improvements and corrective actions.
∎ Ensure supplier compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
∎ Assist in qualifying new suppliers and developing innovative yarn types (e.g., recycled, organic).
∎ Evaluate yarn production feasibility and consistency.
∎ Maintain accurate technical records, performance reviews, and supplier scorecards.
∎ Flag potential risks or quality deviations to the sourcing and QA teams.
∎ Role Definition
∎ The Spun Yarn Technician is responsible for providing hands-on technical expertise in the evaluation, sourcing, and quality assurance of spun yarns including cotton, synthetic, and blended varieties. This role acts as a bridge between spinning mills, sourcing teams, and international buyers, ensuring yarns meet performance, quality, and sustainability standards. The technician will conduct technical audits, guide suppliers for improvements, and support the development of innovative yarns to meet evolving market needs.
∎ Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (Liaison Office)
∎ Reporting To: Technical Manager / Sourcing Manager (HK Office)
∎ Key Deliverables
∎ Yarn Quality Assurance
∎ Ensure all sourced yarns meet required technical parameters and buyer specifications.
