Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's Degree in Textile Chemistry or allied fields with strong working and analytical knowledge
∎ Certified knowledge in Chemical Management of RSL (Textile & Apparel Industry) and Lab Chemical Tests
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement and monitor Chemical Product Safety Plan focused on global regulatory chemical compliance
∎ Execute Product Safety programs, plans and monitor chemical product safety scorecards for Vendors and Suppliers (including Dyeing, laundry and printing recipe)
∎ Report product reviews for RSL (Restricted Substance List) management
∎ Ensure products manufactured from supply chain comply with chemical product safety requirements
∎ Conduct factory-level audits to validate and measure RSL compliance status through defined process checklists and performance standards
∎ Conduct necessary RSL training programs workshops for entire supply chain on chemical product safety requirements
∎ Communicate, track and monitor supply chain RSL performance scorecards
∎ Establish necessary RCA & CPA for consumer complaints
∎ Partner with Sourcing, Product Development, Finish, Quality and Sustainability to drive chemical management programs cross functionally
∎ Participate in industry forums & regulatory forums as recommended
∎ Partner with legal and consumer affairs for consumer feedback resolutions
Additional Requirements:
∎ 4+ years of experience in Textile Manufacturing/Lab Testing/RMG/Sourcing/Chemistry industry preferred
∎ Sound knowledge and experience in conducting Product Safety Training & Training material development
∎ Exposure to Product Safety Failure Analysis and Failure Resolution is must
∎ Expertise in formulating & implementing Chemical Product Safety
∎ Strong background in Fabric/Garment/Chemical testing with good understanding of RSL test procedures
∎ Expertise in interpreting Consumer Safety Regulatory Inputs
∎ Good understanding of business challenges in Apparel/Footwear Industry
∎ Exposure to cross functional working knowledge on MRSL/Sustainability is preferred
∎ Is willing to travel extensively
