• Must have worked with recognized suppliers or mills (e.g., fancy yarn mills, OEKO-TEX certified trims suppliers, major local agents).
• Strong technical understanding of knitwear production, yarn composition, and quality requirements.

Job Context

Cassiopea Sweaters Ltd (CSL) is a 100% export-oriented sweater manufacturing company producing for top international brands.

We are seeking a Sourcing Manager with deep experience in knitwear materials, who can manage and develop suppliers for yarn, trims, and accessories both locally and internationally.

The right candidate must have prior experience working with reputed yarn mills, trims, and accessory suppliers, and a strong understanding of sweater production requirements across multiple gauges.

Job Responsibilities

• Source and develop new suppliers for yarn, trims, and accessories, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Work with knitwear factories and understand technical yarn requirements (3GG–14GG, fancy, blended, and recycled yarns).
• Negotiate competitive prices and lead times while maintaining required buyer standards.
• Build long-term relationships with reliable local and international mills (China, India, Turkey, etc.).
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, compliance, and technical capability.
• Work closely with merchandising, production, and planning to ensure materials availability according to production schedules.
• Approve materials and trims for bulk use in coordination with the design and quality team.
• Keep updated on new yarn developments, market trends, and price fluctuations to guide cost-effective sourcing.
• Maintain supplier databases with updated contact details, price lists, and performance records.
• Ensure all sourced materials comply with buyer standards and certifications (OEKO-TEX, RCS, GRS, etc.).
