Employment: Full Time

**Role Overview**

We are looking for an experienced Head Programmer to lead our knit programming team. The right candidate will own the full sample-to-bulk programming cycle, manage a team of programmers, and work closely with Merchandising, Sampling, Production, and IE to ensure on-time sample development and smooth bulk production.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Lead and supervise the programming team; assign work, review output, and mentor junior programmers.

- Study buyer tech packs and develop accurate knitting programs for sample and bulk production.

- Handle complex programs: jacquard, intarsia, cables, structures, and fully fashioned garments across 3GG to 14GG.

- Ensure samples are developed on time and meet buyer quality expectations.

- Troubleshoot programming and machine-related issues during sampling and bulk run.

- Optimise programs to improve machine productivity and reduce knitting defects, downtime, and rework.

- Coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, Production, and IE on program handover and bulk approval.

- Maintain a clean program library and version control for all approved bulk programs.

- Train junior programmers and build team capacity over time.

**Requirements**

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in sweater programming, with at least 3 years in a team lead or supervisory role.

- Strong expertise in Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX software (APEX3 or APEX4).

- Proven experience programming for Matalan, Boohoo, H&M, M&S, KIK, or similar tier buyers.

- Solid working knowledge of jacquard, intarsia, cables, structures, and fully fashioned garments across multiple gauges.

- Experience with Shima Seiki SES, SSG, SWG, MACH2 series machines.

- Able to read and interpret buyer tech packs independently.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under shipment pressure.

- Good communication in Bengali and basic working English.

**Educational Requirements**

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering preferred.

- Highly experienced candidates may apply regardless of educational background.
