Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and review structural systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings (including RCC, steel, and composite structures).
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, design reports, and engineering drawings in compliance with relevant codes (e.g., BNBC, ACI, BS, Eurocode).
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to ensure structural integrity aligns with functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Use software tools such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD to perform structural modeling, analysis, and design.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, check structural compliance, and provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Review and approve shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and material submittals.
- Evaluate structural feasibility and cost-effectiveness of design alternatives.
- Ensure all documentation meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Assist senior engineers or project managers in project planning and coordination.
- Keep updated with advancements in structural materials, construction techniques, and regulatory changes.
