  • At least 05-08 years of proven experience as Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader after the MSc in High-rise building construction projects

  • Experience in contract administration, claims management, variation orders, and dispute resolution, Coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.



Responsibilities & Context:

Innovate Engineering and Development (IED), a reputed multidisciplinary engineering consultancy firm with extensive experience in large-scale national and international infrastructure development projects, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Deputy Team Leader (DTL) as a Full-Time, Contractual Expert. The selected candidate will lead and manage the consultant team to project management and construction supervision consultancy services for a high-profile high-rise and infrastructure development project, in accordance with the Prime Contract executed with the Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Team Leader in the overall project management, coordination, and supervision of construction works in accordance with the Prime Contract and Client requirements.
  • Jointly lead and manage the Consultant’s multidisciplinary supervision team, ensuring effective coordination, task allocation, and timely service delivery.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, national codes, international standards, and World Bank guidelines.
  • Oversee and enforce quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems to maintain required construction quality, workmanship, and material standards.
  • Support contract administration and contract management, ensuring adherence to contractual provisions, FIDIC conditions, and applicable national and international laws.
  • Review and evaluate contractors’ method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and construction schedules, providing technical and contractual recommendations.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and performance using project management software, digital reporting platforms, and updated IT-based tools, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve architectural, structural, MEP, and coordination issues arising during construction, in consultation with the Team Leader.
  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of World Bank environmental, social, health, and safety (ESHS) requirements and safeguard policies at site.
  • Assist in the review, verification, and certification of interim payment applications, variations, claims, and extension of time requests in line with contractual procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, coordination meetings, and technical reviews to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among the Client, Contractor, Consultant team, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare, review, and contribute to periodic progress reports, digital dashboards, site records, and contractual correspondence for submission to the Client.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight to supervision staff to maintain consistent standards and efficiency.
  • Act on behalf of the Team Leader, when delegated, to ensure continuity of supervision, coordination, and informed decision-making at site.
