• Certifications such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty; Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer.       

• Certification in Microsoft Windows Server Administration (must) and (Desirable) Linux Operating systems (e.g., MCSA, MCSE  & RHCSA or Oracle Linux- OCA).

Database administration/Must have skills :

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server DBA and 6 years as MySQL DBA.

• Operating Systems (MS Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Linux, UNIX)Microsoft SQL Server database from 2014/2016 up to 2022

• MySQL Server 5.7 up to MySQL 8.4.2 LTS (understanding of MySQL 9.0.1/IR)

• Must have Database Administration experience on AWS and other cloud environment and experience with cloud-based database services.

• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Linux, UNIX Shell Scripting) for automation of database tasks.

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL clustering, replication, backup, and recovery processes. 

• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL Development: Writing, understanding and modifying the existing SQL queries(CRUD, Joins, Sub queries etc.), stored procedures, functions and trigger.

•  Experience in database maintenance, like fragmentation checks including daily backups and recovery, Off site backups. re-index operations, update statistics, and other system commands.

• Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations.

• Automated Monitoring/Alerting

• Performance Tuning/Collection/Analysis (MS PerfMon) and optimize queries to improve overall system performance.

• Solid experience in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for SQL Server i.e. Clustering, Mirroring, Log shipping, Replication, etc.

• Experience performing database migrations and implement database security controls, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and access management.

• Expertise in SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, PerfMon, DMVs).

Server Administration -Windows(Mandatory)/Linux (Desirable)

• Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator/MS Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

• Responsible for maintaining the Windows servers/operating system on the cloud.

• Installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting Windows based physical and virtual servers.

• Deploying and testing Windows operating systems including virus updates, patches and performance tuning.

• Disk Management

• Server Backup and recovery.

• Linux Admin on the cloud.

Web Hosting Skills.·

• Experience on managing e-commerce and dynamic/static Websites.

• Manage website hosted on AWS, GoDaddy and Namecheap Server

• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Bitbucket, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).

• No SQL Databases- such as DynamoDB, MongoDB etc

• PHP, Javascript, Ajax, HTML, CSS

• Framework: Laravel, Bootstrap, Vuejs, Tailwind

• CMS: WordPress

• Install, updates SSL Certificates

• Hosting technologies such as Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Nginx and Tomcat.

JRF is looking for a Senior SQL Server/MySQL DBA and Windows/Server Administrator for our Global Operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft SQL Server (Mandatory) and MySQL DBA, has a strong understanding of database management systems, possesses excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will administer Windows/servers (Mandatory) hosted on the cloud or physical environment.
This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
