Required Experience:

• 4+ years working exclusively with Shopify 
• Expert in Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, Checkout) 
• Proven experience building custom apps (embedded or standalone) 
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Express) 
• Proficient in Shopify CLI for theme/app development and deployment 
• Liquid, GraphQL, REST, OAuth implementation 
• Git workflows and deployment best practices 
• Experience managing Shopify Plus stores 

Bonus Skills: 

• Shopify Hydrogen or Remix familiarity 
• Experience with Metafields, Metaobjects, and Shopify
• Functions App Store submission process 
• Experience with performance optimization for Shopify stores

Role Overview: 

We are seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to join our team on a contract or long-term freelance basis. You will be responsible for building custom Shopify features, creating private/public apps, and integrating third-party APIs with Shopify Admin, Storefront, and Checkout APIs. The role involves both front-end and back-end logic — from theme customization to server-side app development and automation.

Core Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain custom Shopify apps (Node.js/React preferred) 

• Develop custom theme logic beyond standard Liquid capabilities 

• Implement complex API integrations (Storefront, Admin, Checkout) 

• Build high-performance scripts, automations, and backend services 

• Ensure secure, compliant data handling (OAuth, webhooks, etc.) 

• Collaborate with design/strategy teams to launch advanced features 

• Debug and resolve platform-level issues at speed
