Educational Requirements:

∎ Skills Required: Project Management, Reporting and Documentation, societal writing

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Community Engagement , Forecasting and Early Warning System, ICT for Development

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of
∎ projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, meeting
∎ project reporting, case study preparation, process documentation, societal writing and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodology
∎ Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met
∎ Support monitoring and evaluation in all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realization, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
∎ Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence based project planning and decision making
∎ Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, time frames, policy objectives and other project and priorities

∎ Business : The Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES) is an international and intergovernmental institution, owned and managed by its Member States, for the generation and application of early warning information. RIMES evolved from the efforts of countries in Africa and Asia, in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, to establish a regional early warning system within a multi-hazard framework for the generation and communication of early warning information, and capacity building for preparedness and response to trans-boundary hazards. RIMES was established on 30 April 2009, and was registered with the United Nations on 1 July 2009.
