Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Manager - Implementation is mainly responsible for overall implementation, monitoring and supervision of Multi-Purpose Disaster Shelter (MPDS) construction and non-construction activities such as the construction of shelters, DRR, Social Cohesion, and EiE interventions in project areas. The incumbent is responsible to supervise Projects Manager-Engineering, Project Officers of non-construction activities and partners to implementation of construction work, DRR and EiE work and maintain accountability of the project activities following Save the Children code of conduct and core humanitarian Standard. S/he is also responsible to support and enhance capacity of the partners and respective project staff and lead the team combined of DRR and Engineering. The job holder will provide support and technical inputs into the development, implementation and monitoring of the project and maintain close coordination with COP-MPDS, Save the Children field unit, CARE Consortium staff, Government and relevant stakeholders and collaboration with implementing partners.
∎ The Senior Project Manager will oversee project financial management (expenditure like bills, voucher and procurements process as per the financial compliance both for local partners and Contractors/sub-contractors) and prepare progress report monthly, quarterly and annual report and final report both for SCI internal use and Donors. S/he will coordinate closely with the CARE Consortium, relevant Government Ministries/departments and others organizations for better implementation of program and also support to partners to implement the project interventions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years of Program Management working experience preferably in Civil construction work, Disaster Risk reduction and Education in Emergency, Emergency response, Recovery and Rehabilitation including emergency livelihood, including 3 years in management position
∎ Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects related to employment/income generation drives for children and young people, with a policy influencing dimension and proven experience on structural work implementation
∎ Excellent management skill with program planning, budget monitoring, partner management, external representation and so on
∎ Should have capacity to work in any situation during emergency and capacity building ability of project staff
∎ Ability and willingness to travel widely in program areas
∎ Excellent spoken, and writing skills in English & Bangla
∎ Ability to produce quality analytical reports and facilitate discussion at various levels
